Gifts in Celebration of Cyan Scarpati
blk rule internal

Cyan Scarpati (aka CiCi Vallena) was a founding member of Act Like a GRRRL. In many ways, she was the perfect embodiment of GRRRL-ness.  We remember Cyan as beautiful, funny, out-spoken, honest, loyal and determined to make her own rules and follow her own code. She fought injustice everywhere she saw it and called on those she loved to be their very best selves. The light of her life continues to shine on us today and always.

If you would like to make a gift in honor of Cyan's fierce spirit, please make checks payable to Actors Bridge Ensemble (memo: Cyan Scarpati - ALAG) or give online at Giving Matters (special instructions: Cyan Scarpati - ALAG).

(checks can be mailed to: Vali Forrister, Actors Bridge Ensemble, 1312 Adams St, Nashville, TN 37208)

For more details below on Cyan's Celebration, see below.

Cyan Afton Scarpati: February 10, 1993 - May 24, 2009

Artist, actress and activist, our Cyan was an adored and spirited daughter, sister, granddaughter, cousin and fiercely loyal friend to many.

We would be honored to have you join us as we celebrate her life this Sunday, May 31st at 2 p.m. Cyan had a strong affinity for the goddesses, so we’ll be gathering inside the Parthenon in Nashville’s Centennial Park in front of the statue of Athena. The Parthenon is located at 2600 West End Avenue, 37203.

Cyan also had a strong affinity for photography, and left us a series of masterful self-portraits. Many of these will be on display.

If schedule or distance make it impossible for you to attend, we’ll know you are with us in spirit.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Actors Bridge Ensemble in support of Act Like a GRRRL.http://www.actorsbridge.org/
